It ain't easy being evolved, but indigo children face the challenges of eyes-wide-open existence everyday. Even if they do slip into a closed-off space when they process the lower vibrations of the world, they are strong enough to overcome them. Indigo children are resilient, and with support, they can bounce back from nearly anything with a higher perspective and even new abilities to deal with a matter head on. They are sensitives, but they are warriors in the “peaceful balancer” sense of the word. Toys and tools that affirm what they feel in their hearts about “better and higher options” will go a long way in forging healthy bonds with them and ensuring they don't have to struggle to hold onto their belief in what they are and came to do.
Inspiration Cards
Inspiration cards can be made or bought and serve several purposes. Whether you create them from a deck of cards each bearing collaged images, sketches, or combinations, or you outright buy a deck, the cards can help indigo children to give a name to the vibrations they constantly feel. Have them pull a card a day and learn what the vibrations feel like, and even look or sound like. Inspiration cards can also be utilized before creating stories or media, in-dimensional shadowboxes, and meta paintings, and other archetypally healthy media.
Meta Paint
Working with higher vibrations and paint can bring understanding to your indigo child about the energies they are tapping into on a regular basis. Symbolic works made with meta paint can also be used in chromatherapy and intentional perspective-switching exercises.
To raise the paints you use to a high vibrational level, you can place the containers on your computer speakers while you play Solfeggio frequencies, or you can chant positive affirmations over them for a few minutes each day until you “feel” the charge coming from them. From there, take them out only for inspirational “play.” You can create mandalas, murals with joyful symbolisms in the living room, face paint for animal totem dance, and more. Your imagination can open many doors that shine light and health into the life of your indigo children and your family.
Metagifted's Imaginary Fieldtrips
Meta gifted has a wonderful program that involves imaginary fieldtrips. These are essentially an organized daydream that you can utilize through their site, or if you're aptly inspired, create your own and record them for the whole family to enjoy along with your indigo child.
High Archetypal Media
Archetypes act as pillars in the consciousness for every human being on the planet. They're extremely influential. It's very important that they are healthy and encouraging of a balanced view of the world and matters the archetypes represent.
- Look for children's books that are empowering and ripe with positive thought seeds. The early images and concepts your indigo children take in are crucial to their alignment with the missions in their hearts.
- Pre-screen the films they watch with you. Indigo children are extremely compassionate, and while it's important for them to see “reality”, it should be given to them in a way they can compute to avoid encouraging depression and the potential for an obsessive preoccupation with “responsibility” to clean up everyone's mess.
- Work with them on developing your own traditional archetypes. Focus on empowering practices and holidays that are in line with the family's higher-vibrating vision. If the destructive colonization practices associated with Thanksgiving offend your sensibilities, create a new way and day to give thanks each year. Create your own stories and superheroes. With free opensource programs like Gimp, Scribus, Blender, Pencil, Open Office, Audacity, and RPG toolkit (game making software) you can literally create all of your own media.
In-dimensional Shadowboxes
Shadowboxes are loads of fun, but they have more purposes than you might initially consider. They can be very effective with helping indigo children learn how to process the different facets of their archetypal experience with the world, the visions they harbor of a world that vibrates at a balanced (just) level, and the empathic information they often receive in overwhelming amounts.
You'll need:
A box
Hard paper
Coloring tools
Vegan (cruelty-free) glue
Decide upon the dimension you'd like to explore or positively program. If you're doing this on behalf of your indigo child, consider the messages you'd like to share with them through the in-dimensional shadow box. Strive to keep the emphasis on sharing rather than demanding they see your point of view. Indigos are very intelligent beings, and they will rebel against perceived “orders. Their heads are harder than granite when they've set their minds as you're probably already aware.
If you're working on an in-dimensional shadowbox with one or several indigo children, make sure each party involved in the project has their say about the direction of it. When a harmonious focus can be agreed upon (with groups, you may have to commit to a set of projects that each child leads as a compromise).
When you're idea is established, plan out what symbolisms you'd like to include in the scenery before drawing them onto the hard paper. You can also draw them on sketch paper and transfer the design to hard paper via a carbon sheet or copying machine. Work in the tabs that you will glue to the inside of the box for standing paper items. Cut the design out as carefully as you can, leaving the tabs amply sized enough to accept glue and fold behind the paper design. Attach the paper bits into the shadowbox with the glue (ethical glue is symbolic of what bind holds the vision together), one at a time, or alone (if you prefer). If you've opted to collage the box or paint it, be sure everything has dried before adding in the paper symbols and figures.
Affix the box to the wall in a design with other boxes or alone near a meditation pillow.
You can utilize the box for in-dimensional visits to other realms and as a therapeutic tool to build happy memories where disempowering energies have attempted to take root. In-dimensional shadowboxes will also serve law of attraction projects rather well.
Indigo children are intelligent beings of serious depth. They “go places” many people are scared to tread. Their work is necessary to the planet and should be supported appropriately. If you find you sometimes have trouble “getting” your indigo child, take some time to engage with them through developmental toys or tools that are right up their alley, and you may find the spirit of play forging a bond of “innerstanding” of which no “words” can compete.
note:
The "sixth wheel" refers to the indigo chakra associated with the third eye.
